At Adroit, we believe that “billable hours” create inequities for both parties. The paradox of billable hours is that when an agency is training less experienced marketers or new team members, the client ends up paying more due to having that junior marketer complete the work. Conversely, when a marketing veteran quickly completes high-quality work they become the agency’s least profitable contributor (despite their expertise and skill).
For this reason, we use what we call “Menu Pricing”. When you go to a restaurant you don’t pay more because it took an apprentice chef longer to make your meal, you pay for what you receive rather than paying for the process.
Our menu pricing is based on the average time it takes for a marketer, whether veteran or junior, to complete a task. This allows us to ensure that the quality of work is always high by untethering our most senior team members from hourly obligations, allowing them to provide oversight and ownership of projects.
If keyword research, for example, takes a junior marketer 10-12 hours to complete, but a veteran could finish in only 2 hours, the menu pricing for that task would be about 6 hours. That pricing includes strategy, execution, and quality assurance.
This system is based on years of data and experience, and it creates consistently strong outcomes from marketing campaigns.
The more you spend on advertising, the more oversight your campaign requires. In this industry-standard pricing model, if you are spending less than $20k/month across all digital advertising channels, your cost will be the base $2k in management. If you were spending $30k, for example, you would instead pay the 10% rate, meaning your management costs would be $3,000/month.
It is important to note that the ad spend paid to Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, or other platforms goes directly to those third parties (not Adroit). You will need to use your own payment information on these platforms, and Adroit will ensure your ad spend stays within your target budget.
All of our marketing strategies include an analysis of existing marketing standings (you can’t know which way to go if you don’t know where you currently are), such as audits of your website, your branding & messaging, your target demographics & personas, and your industry. Additionally, these packages include an analysis of the tactics and work needed to drive the most impact, the cost of that work, the priority in which it should be completed, and timeline estimates based on your budget.
With all of these elements included as a baseline, our strategy packages begin at $2,800 and increase depending on how many additional factors need to be assessed.
Examples of these additional factors include:
We may need to research the cost and estimated results of multiple channels (like Google search, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) depending on what is relevant to your business.
If you do not already know who you are trying to reach and what message you need to communicate to them, Adroit can help by creating a Messaging Playbook.
Depending on the size of your website, or if you don’t yet have a website, the time needed to assess recommendations can vary greatly.
